Youth Services
Cultural Experiences
Cultural activities that are available to both youth groups include; porcupine quilling, picking medicine, learning how to make dry meat, fish scaling, smudging, making moccasins and various other skills. Through these activities, we are able to connect our youth with local elders and teach them the importance of community and connection to the land.
Individual Youth Support
We also offer support to youth on an individual basis. This can be anything from peer issues to support within the education system. We recognize that everyone's needs are different and can change as they get older. We strive to offer whatever that youth needs in order to maintain their mental health and thrive in their community.
Junior Youth Group
Our junior youth group is for youth ages 8-13 years of age. This group is for youth to come together in a safe and welcoming space while getting to take part in fun, cultural activities such as: campfires, bike park trips, skating, snowshoeing, spray park day, and celebrations. There are also more casual activities just to hang out with friends.
Senior Youth Group
Our Senior Youth group is for the youth ages 14-18 years of age. This group takes part in monthly gatherings around the fire, homework drop in, summer employment opportunities, assisting elders in the community, co-coaching our Jays Care Baseball program and assisting with celebrations
